City and Guilds

James is qualified through City and Guilds in Plastering and associated skills such as rendering.

City and Guilds was founded in 1878 to establish a national system of technical education - they held their first exams in cotton manufacture, steel manufacture, gas manufacture, wool dyeing, alkaline manufacture, telegraphy and qualitative blowpipe analysis.

Controlled Waste Regulations 1991

Regulation 3 of the Controlled Waste Regulations 1991 (Registration of Carriers and Seizure of Vehicles) controls the tranportation of waste.

Transporting Waste

If someone transports your waste that person or company removing or transporting your waste must be a registered waste carrier and authorised to take your waste.

How to check if someone is a Registered Waste Carrier

Check the Environment Agency Public Registers
Telephone the Environment Agency 0845 603 3113
Ask the person or company to show you their waste carriers registration certificate.

James is a registered waste carrier, registration number CB/NM3651YG

You will be required to complete a "Waste Transfer Note" if you want James to take waste from your property.

HMRC Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)

James is registered under the for work as a subcontractor if required.

Public Liability Insurance

To protect the customer all Tradesmen should carry a Public Liability Insurance in case of accident.

James holds a Master Tradesman Plus policy with MMA Insurance through Swinton Commercial for up to £1,000,000.
